This 1897 poster advertised the Fresno Morning Republican newspaper’s Tigers baseball team. Note the player pictured in the bottom left corner. Fresno’s Frank Chance became a star player and manager of the Chicago Cubs. He was voted into baseball’s Hall of Fame in 1946. Original poster from Fresno Historical Society Archives.
