Fall is Forever

Leaves in shades of yellow, orange, red and pinks fall from the trees above and lay in subtle stupor on the pavement below. They stay there, stagnant, yet bright until a passerby unknowingly steps on it. There, the leaf sticks to the bottom of that shoe and begins a journey leading it from one place to another. While that leaf moves on, its imprint remains on the pavement it left behind. Through the airy breeze of fall, through the raindrops of a new season...that imprint remains unmoving and unchanged, just like memories of the human spirit. So you see - fall is forever, at least it is to me.
