Nobody Puts Baby's In A Corner

I was born in State College, Pennsylvania; home to Baby's Burgers & Shakes -- a traditional American Diner with servers on roller skates and an old fashioned jukebox with 7" singles inside. We moved to Ohio when I was just 2, but would go back regularly and always stop in for a treat: Baby's Famous Wimpy Burger. My dad always jokes that if anyone in the family isn't having a good time or can't make up their mind on a song for the jukebox, they'll have to sit in the corner booth that features the great view featured in this photograph. With barely enough room for 2, this half-booth is usually the last table to get filled on busy Friday and Saturday nights. Some of my earliest memories include a "teeny-weeny," which is a really really small hot fudge sundae with my dad while we were waiting for my mom to get done teaching at Penn State... I'm even told we got to sit at that booth once or twice and that I thought it was really awesome that they made a booth that was "just my size!"
