Picture Fresno is a photo journey of life in and around Fresno. Each week, members of the community submit photos in response to a theme or challenge, and a panel of judges selects a weekly favorite. Together, these photos tell the story of Fresno.
The greatest email in the world
We'll be tweeting, facebooking and promoting the heck out of the photos submitted each week, but we'll also be sending out a sweet email to announce winners, new themes and more. Don't miss out!
This brick archway, at Minnewawa and Shepherd, is all that remains of an old building there. Beyond it, in the mist, you can barely make out small trees in an orchard.
I used to pass by this archway every day in high school! Ah, the memories :-)

This was Garfield Colony School. My dad went there for a brief time in the 1940's. It burned in the early to mid 1990's in a suspicious fire. Only the archway remains.
