Because every year, she makes us color coordinate our outfits for the Family Christmas Card - even if an actual card is never sent.
That's my mom - front and center - and the rest of the family. Last year, the instructions were, "Wear a shade of black or gray." The year before it was "Wear red."
But that's why we love her.
