That's what I call my mom: Milady. I'm not sure why or when it started but that's my special name for her.
This was taken in 1986 by my mom's friend Letty on the southeast corner of Shaw and Blackstone. We had just eaten lunch together. At 22, four years younger than I am now, my mom was pregnant with her second child and I was almost two years old.
She's a remarkable lady, Milady.
