My mom has always found laughter to be the answer to life's woes. And considering she has suffered from Multiple Sclerosis for the last 30 years makes that feat even more remarkable. I was just a few weeks old when she was diagnosed at the age of 27, so I have never known my mother any other way. But her illness and wheelchair has never taken the smile from her face or the laughter from her voice. This picture was taken on her birthday last year. Who knows what we were laughing about, but it captures our experience of life together - we laugh.
