I captured this sweet think nestled in my lawn last spring. She was barely an inch across, if that and captivated me from the moment I saw her. I honed in on her alone because I loved the way her petals unfurled to capture every stray ray of sunshine.
I took the photo using my Nikon Cool Pix L110 set to a fairly high light adjustment so I'd capture the pink gem as closely to nature as possible.
